A Loyal Fan

I would like to issue a thank you to the Muppets.

I would like to personally thank Rahm Emanuel.

Thank you Lady Gaga.

Kardashian sisters, Miley Cyrus and other stars- you are boycotting Chick Fil A, and for that -you also have my thanks.

You and countless others have boycotted and commented online crying out against anyone who doesn't espouse your values.

The world's ultimatum has been heard loud and clear.

I have heard with increasing incidence and intensity that to be accepted by the world I must love what the world loves. You have said that to love people I must also love and accept their actions and lifestyle or I myself am not loved or accepted. I am labeled a bigot; full of hate.

I get it.

I must choose who I'm going to serve.  A line drawn in the sand long ago has been uncovered.

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve..... but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15

It has been entirely too easy to attempt to serve both the world and God. Too often I have said "Good morning God" and "Good morning world, What have you got for me today?".

I want to play the part of the suffering servant while staying in my comfort zone (like that's possible).

I justify doing the things I desire-something my friend, the world also does.

I have been wooed by the "If it feels right, do it" voice of reason.

And all the while I worship.

Frolicking to and fro from one side of the line to the other I'm chummy with the world and with God.

No one can serve two masters.

I will not be mastered by the world.

I will not be mastered by Hollywood or popular opinion.

Let me not be mastered by my own selfish desires.

Only let love be my master.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.  Abide in my love.  If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love. John 15:9-17

The world urges us to pick a side

-I choose God.
